You will need:
A large branch.
White felt for ghosts.
Small pumpkin "confetti" {purchased at Walmart}
Gluegun
Twine and Burlap
Container to put your branch in.
The kids and I went on a "branch hunt"
When I was a little girl,
we always made these little hoilday "trees" with my Nana.
It was so much fun.
Now I get to share this memory with my little's.
The kids and I brought back the biggest one we could find!
We cut our felt into rectangles.
We were able to get 4 per sheet.
Then we used cotton balls for the "heads"
Use twine or string to secure around the "neck"
So easy!
For our container,
I used what we had on hand.
A large mason jar.
Stuffed with Target bags to hold our branch in place.
I know, I know,
so fancy, right?
No worries,
when you are done, this will not show!
See, told you!
We wrapped burlap around the jar.
Then secured with jute twine.
Next we glued our ghosts and pumpkins on.
So easy.
Just put the where you think they look spooky!
We also made a little banner out of burlap.
One of my new bloggy friends made this little tree here.
I loved the banner out of burlap.
Thanks for the idea,
We are enjoying our spooky Halloween Tree in our kitchen!
The little man and I took a quick trip out back with our tree.
For a view not in front of a mirror {as above}
Now, go find a tree/twig/branch thingy and get busy!
Make a memory with your little's.
You will be glad you did.
Trust me!
