I have a special treat today for you my friends!
SO simple and SO yummy Christmas fudge.
It has only 5 ingredients,
and the best part,
TOTALLY foolproof.
Seriously,
I have made it for years and have never messed it up!
Line an 8 x 8 pan with foil.
In heavy saucepan,
melt {over low to medium heat}
3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips, dash of salt
and 14 oz. can eagle brand milk.
Stir just until melted.
Remove from heat.
Add 1 c. chopped nuts and 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Stir until smooth.
Pour into your pan.
Stick in fridge for two hours {or until set}
Turn fudge onto cutting board and peel off foil.
Cut into rectangles or squares.
Now, go make you some fudge.
Give it as a gift,
take it to a Christmas party,
or...
eat it all yourself {and share SOME with your fam}
That may or may not have happened here at our house today.
Just sayin'
:)

Wow-great that this is never fail! I have never tried to make fudge-always scared to mess it up, but might try this one-sounds easy-pinning :)
Yumm! I will make some of this for my nieces but will substitute the nits for some dried fruit as one is allergic to nuts.

Your fudge looks so yummy and easy to make. I have one problem -I dont live in the USA. What type of milk is eagle brand?
I'm pretty sure she meant CONDENSED milk, it's not regular milk. It's in a can and it's sweetened condensed milk.
Thank you so much ladies for the kind words! And, just to be clear, yes it is condensed milk {my whole life I have referred to it as eagle brand} However, any brand of CONDENSED milk will do just fine! Merry Christmas friends! :)

I have never made fudge and am not much of a kitchen person, but last night I got in the spirit and reached for this recipe. It turned out fantastic! I thank you and know my family will too as soon as they get a taste of this!
I made this and it's just the best fudge and so easy to make.
So happy you all gave this a try and it came out great for you! Thank you for reading and for your kind comments as well! :)

This is the Christmas fudge my mom always made and if she couldn't screw it up you are all guaranteed perfect results!
I believe
"Condensed" milk is different from Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk. One is thick and sweet the other is more like half and half. Please let us know exactly what kind of milk. Thanks. Does 3 cups chips come in a 24 oz Bag? Some weights are different than cup weights.
I've made this for years. Its sweetened condensed milk. I've added mint, raisins, nuts, coconut, candy pieces... The combinations are endless.
Fudge is one of my favorite treats at Christmas even though I rarely attempt to make it myself. I hope you'll share this post on our Holiday Cookie Recipe Swap at http://thedomesticatedprincess.blogspot.com/2012/11/holiday-cookie-recipe-swap-week-1.html

I just only discovered and tried it out. I haven't tasted it as yet but I am sure it will taste as good as it looks. I made this batch without nuts for the kiddos but I want to make the next one with nuts. Should I roast the nuts before I them?
