Look hard at the above picture folks.
Okay, not TOO hard!
Do you see that "lovely" plastic thermostat peeping at you back there?
When we bought this house a few years back,
I knew I would HAVE to do something to hide that baby!
Using what I had on hand,
this is what I came up with.
I used an old window that was a roadside find.
I removed the piece of glass that "covered" the thermostat.
That way when I need to turn it on/off,
all I have to do is reach back behind the wreath through that space.
I simply attached some wire to the back of the window,
to make for easy hanging.
Then hung my wreath onto the window.
I like to switch the wreaths out with the seasons.
I couldn't be happier with my little thermostat hider!
What do you think?
Happy Friday my friends!

Super cute - and a brilliant idea! I'm trying to come up with something to hide outlets and water taps over my washer and dryer! Too bad this is too big for that space!
this is a great idea! Am I safe to assume that the glass panels are removed so that you can easily reach back there to change the temp?
Just popping over from Skip to my lou!
Love this! I think I would remove the glass also since the sun hits ours! So, so cute and clever!

Great idea! Love your wreath, too. :) Pinning this! Would love for you to link this up to my {wow me} wednesday link party going on right now. :)

This is really a cool idea, but I have to wonder if it will cause problems with your heat and air. A thermostat works based on the air temp and flow around it. If it is obstructed, it will not read right and the temp in the house will either get too hot or cold depending on the setting.
I love this idea AND your wreath/window. Thanks for sharing. Patti@OldThingsNew
