Thrifty Coffee Table Decor

Hello there my dears.
Hope you all are having a great Monday.
:)

I have had a great response to part one of my thrifty decorating series so far.
I am so excited to be back with part two of the series today!
I have loved all of your kind comments!
They inspire me to keep sharing, so thank you very much!
:)

This post won't be as detailed as the first one.
Which offers more information about thrifting in general.

With that said,
let's get to the thrifty coffee table decor.

Starting with the bottom up,
the coffee table itself.
We paid a whopping $9 for it on our fab.u.less day thrifting.

Did we need a coffee table at the time we found this one?
Heck no.

Yes, my friends, you read that right.
HECK.NO.

It was a thrifty find as well.
The washboard was given to us for free,
the hubs {worked his magic} and turned it into our coffee table.

Okay, back to the post, my friends.
Just because we weren't in the market for a coffee table,
we knew it was too good of a deal to pass up.
$9. Seriously.
That being said,
we also knew we had somewhere to store it UNTIL we would use it.
A very important factor in the thrifting equation!

We recently finished our thrifty coffee table redo,
and moved it into the living room and are now enjoying it!

Silver vintage tray {Local resale shop, $2}
White oval platter {Marshalls $4, on clearance}
Heart {From my Mama for Mothers Day, free}
Vintage mason jar {Antique Alley, $2}
White roses {From the hubs and kids for V-Day, free}

So, $17 worth of decor INCLUDING the coffee table!
:)
A few things worth noting:

Fresh flowers brighten up ANY space. The hubs paid $5 for these.
Most grocery stores sell beautiful {and inexpensive} fresh flowers.

When decorating a "new space" or changing up an area,
SHOP.THE.HOUSE.
I cannot stress this enough.
You will be amazed how that tray takes on a whole new look in a new space!

I have always been of the philosophy,
less is more.
Personally, clutter is not a girls best friend when decorating.
All of that excess "stuff" overshadows your lovely decor.

I, am by no means, an expert.
I am just sharing what has worked for me,
and hope you will be inpired to do some budget decorating as well!

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you will join me for the rest of this little series.

Love the coffee table, I too have bought things before I needed them and when I put them in the house it makes me so thrilled to see what I can do with someone else's junk! Good job.

Gorgeous table, wonderful vignette! My favorite thing to do is shop the house and change things up!

Again, beautiful!
