Luau Cupcakes

Aloha!
Happy Wednesday my friends!

A few weeks ago, we celebrated the kid's birthdays.
They wanted to have a big birthday luau.
Little man has a June birthday. He turned six!
Little lady has a July birthday. She turned ten!

So, we combined the two, invited friends and family over, and had a great time!

I saw all kinds of luau cupcakes floating around blogland.
I basically combined a few ideas to make these.

I just used cake mix and icing from the store.
I had blue sugar crystals on hand which I used for the water!

I found these cute little umbrellas at Dollar Tree.
They were a big hit with the kids!
Little man and little lady LOVE airheads,
so I picked up a package of the striped ones at Target.

Next I just cut them into little beach towels!
Super duper easy!
:)

And there you have it.
Cute and simple luau cupcakes!

Perfect for summertime!
