Christmas Love

We were very blessed this Christmas and spent two full days with family.
Good food, many laughs and meaningful conversation.
As usual, the preparation seemed to take forever,
then once Christmas arrived, it just seemed to fly right by.
I tried to embrace those special moments and just simply be.
Our hearts are full and we are now enjoying the slowing down,
and just being together as a family.
Good times.

I so enjoy baking for the holidays.
We tried some new cookie recipes this year and found some "keepers"
The kids and I decorated candy cane cookies, as we do every year.
I love sharing special moments and making memories with these two.

My mother in law with the grand kids.

Playing before Christmas lunch at Granny and Grandpa's!

May and Aunt Lindsay.
Check out that dimple!
Love!

Granny and Grandpa.
So blessed to have them in our lives.
Love them SO much.

Mama and I.
Love her so much as well.
Don't know what I would do without her.
:)

I hope each of you had a wonderful Christmas with your family.

Christmas At The Farm

Good Sunday morning, my sweet friends.
Are you all preparing for New Year's Eve festivities?
How are there only two days left in 2012, I ask you.

We are still regrouping from four family Christmas gatherings in two days.
Christmas night we celebrated with immediate family out at Mom's.
I love her Christmas tree and could gaze at it for hours and hours.
Truly, her entire house looks just beautiful at Christmas time!

I snapped this picture of the kids sitting on the couch,
I just love the way it turned out.
It captured such a sweet and peaceful moment.

The fam,
minus little man who was "sorting out" presents!

My two sweet pea's in their pj's.
Love them so much.

The jello jewelry box.
Only my sister would wrap my Christmas gift in a jello box.
Seriously, what would I do without her.

Little man loved his tool set from Dee Dee.
He decided to wear the safety goggles all night.
So sweet!

May and cousin Bells.
BFF's!
They pretty much hung out the whole night together!

Better run, today is the hub's birthday,
and I have to whip up his favorite banana cake!
Then we are off to celebrate.
:)

Have a great day you guys!
XO

Gaylord ICE

Howdy friends!
I feel like I am so behind on posting for the month of December.
I have a memory card full of photos that I need to upload.
And about ten posts to write and catch up on!
Somewhere in the whirlwind of the crazy holidays,
the month of December just seemed to fly right by.

May's class took a trip to the Gaylord shortly
before school let out for Christmas break.
Mom and I tagged along on the filed trip.

Little lady and her awesome science teacher.
She loves her to pieces.

The "theme" this year for ICE was Madagascar.
The kiddos absolutely loved it!

It was a whopping nine degrees inside of the exhibit.
Needless to say,
Mom and I nearly froze to death.
It was so worth it though!
Little lady is hot natured, so the cold didn't bother her much!

So thankful we wore our layers and parkas!
I wasn't sure if Mom would be able to survive the entire exhibit or not,
but despite almost freezing to death, she made it through!

May's favorite,
the ice slide!
She LOVED it, as did all the other kiddos.

What a treat it was to run into this lovely lady!
She works at the Gaylord and is oh so fabulous, isn't she?
We love you, sweet Amy!

We decided to have some yummy Mexican food while there.

After lunch we took a little tour of the Gaylord.
It was so beautiful,
so many Christmas things to see.

Honestly, these pictures don't show the true beauty of this place.
It was absolutely breathtaking.

Merry Christmas

From our family to yours.
May you have a wonderful Christmas filled with peace, love and joy.

Starting today, we have a whirlwind of family get togethers.
I refuse to get caught up in the busyness of it all.
I plan on soaking up every single second with our family and loved one's.
Counting my blessings and remembering the true reason for the season.

Merry Christmas, my sweet friends!

What's Happening

Hi there friends!
I hope you have all been doing great.
I am sure you are getting ready to celebrate Christmas with your families.
We have been busy preparing for festivities over here as well!

Just wanted to let you know a bit of what we have been up to lately.
Our elf, Mr. Bo Jangles has been showing up in silly places every morning.
The kids actually "run" out of bed to see where he is!
It is the cutest thing ever.

Little man brought these two homemade treasures home this week.
I just love my kiddos handmade Christmas artwork.
I will treasure it always!

We made a gingerbread house this year with the kids.
It is slowly disappearing piece by piece.

Counting down the days.
How in the world is Christmas only 2 days away.
I swear it was just Thanksgiving!

LOVE them.
More than words can say.

We tried to make Nana's TV trash {aka, chex mix}
I will say it does tastes very similar to hers,
but, once again, something is missing,
Boooooooo.

I made a new cherry cookie recipe today with the kids.
OMG, to die for.
Will share soon.

We also made white chocolate candy cane bark for all of the teachers at school.
It turned out delicious and was a big hit!

Well, better run.
More cookies in the oven and about five dozen need to be decorated!

Have a great evening you guys.
XOXO
