Super Simple Beef Stew

 Howdy folks!
I hope you are having a wonderful week so far.
It has been rainy and on the cool side this week here in Texas.
I decided to cook some yummy beef stew for my family yesterday.
I thought I would share with y'all,
you know, just in case you need an easy stew recipe!
What's great about this stew is you can add just about anything to it.
I have made it for years and years and the fam still loves it!

Okay,
so here's what you will need.

2 lbs. stew meat
2 tbs. butter {to brown meat}
1 large carton of beef broth
4 cups of water
1 bag of petite carrots
6 red potatoes {cubed}
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 can green beans
salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, worcestershire sauce, tobasco sauce

Heat a large pot over medium heat.
Throw in the butter, melt, add your meat.
Brown on all sides for ten minutes or so.
I add salt, pepper, garlic powder and chili powder while meat is browning.
I never measure, but be generous with your spices,
this is what will flavor your stew!

Once meat is browned,
pour your broth in.
Add about 1 tbs. of both worcestershire and tobasco.
{I add a bit more, we like a spicy kick to our stew}
Add your water and cook {low boil} for 30 to 45 minutes or so.
Next, throw in your carrots and potatoes.
Cook {low boil} for another 30 to 45 minutes.
{Until meat and vegetables are thoroughly cooked}

 Last, you want to add your stewed tomatoes and green beans.
I also add more of all of my spices at this time.
I never measure, just add a bit of everything.
Simmer for ten minutes and then serve!

Enjoy!
:)

Sharing here this week!

Looking forward to trying this recipe on a cold evening this week - Do you drain the tomatoes and green beans before adding them? Thanks!
