Canton Bound!

Howdy friends!
So, I am working like a crazy woman preparing for THE biggest "festival" that I have ever done.
Actually it's not your true typical festival.
As a matter of fact, it's the worlds largest flea market.
SO big in fact that RBCC was on a waiting list for an indoor spot for the month of March.
Apparently March is one of the busiest months for Canton!

I got a call three days ago and they asked if I could do it.
I, of course, said YES!
Gasp!

Am I scared?
 Heck yes, I.am.scared.
Have I been making candles like a crazy woman?
Of course I have.

Quiet honestly I have never had to make this much inventory for ANY festival.
Since Canton is FOUR days, I knew I would need a ton of candles.
So, as we speak, I have 400 candles that are curing, along with over 300 tarts.

Yeah, so needless to say,
there's been a lot of early morning and late night candle makin' going on over here!

Despite being a tad bit nervous,
I am so very excited about setting up in Canton!
It has always been a dream of mine to sell my candles there.
I can't believe it's actually happening.
SOON!

Now, I am off to pack up these bad boys in these boxes.
And label a bazillion tarts.

Pray for me.
Please and thank you!
:)

Have a wonderful day you guys!
XO

East Coast Creative Creating With The Stars

Happy Friday, you guys!
So, you may or may not remember this little number that we made a while back.
The hubs had the idea of throwing this bad boy together.
We are still loving it and it's holding up quite nicely!

Our $30 fake it 'til you make it butcher block kitchen island,
is one of the most viewed posts here at Red Barn Candle Company.
Because of this, I decided to enter this little project in a competition.
You can read all about the competition here.

One of the "final spots" will be determined by what project has the most views.
So, I am here today, to ask you to head on over and click on our project 6,798 times.
Okay, okay, not really that many, but you get the idea.
One little click would be awesome, if you could spare the time!
FYI, we are #301 in the link party.

So, thank you in advance for any of you who head over and "click" for us.
You.are.so.awesome.
{I will continue to think this whether you click or not}
;)

But seriously, thanks so very much my sweet friends.
Have a great evening!

What I Wore ~ $7 Striped Infinity Scarf

Well, it's only been about eight years since I did a WIW post.
Okay, well, not really eight years, but it has been a while.
Eight months maybe?
Maybe, maybe not.
Ahem, moving on....

I blame this on the fact that I am still not comfortable in front of the camera.
Even if it is to showcase my outfit of choice.
However, I knew when I stumbled across this beauty,
that I would be sharing with you guys!
Such a good deal on such a versatile piece.
Now, who doesn't love that, right?

So, I purchased this lovely black and white striped infinity scarf at Wal Mart.
This little striped number comes in a variety of colors.
Red, pink, yellow, orange, purple, green, blue.
You name it, they had it!
I am partial to the black and white myself but....
At a whopping $6.97 {plus tax} I am thinking I need want a few more!

I am sharing here today!
Now, go take a picture of yowself and link up too.

Love Is In The Air

Happy Friday!
The kids are off school today and Monday.
Can I get a wooohooo for a four day weekend?
We have lot's of fun family stuff planned.
We are just waiting until the hubs gets off work so he can join us!

It is cold and cloudy here today.
The kiddos have been playing and I have been house cleaning and catching up on laundry.
Be jealous, be very, very jealous.

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day yesterday.
The hubs and kids surprised me with the BIGGEST box of chocolates I have ever seen.
I could not believe how big it was when he walked in with it!
I mean, it seriously measures about 1 ft. x 3 ft.
{Thanks for the extra ten pounds, right}
;)

They also got me three beautiful white roses.
They are so pretty.
Every time I look at them I think of my three loves!

And, I got the sweetest card ever from my man.
Typically we don't go all out for Valentine's Day.
You know, as far as gifts and such.
However, the hubs went all out this year, and it meant so much to me!
Just look at that homemade money heart.
Awesome!

How about you?
Did you have a lovely Valentine's Day?

XOXO

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day, my sweet friends!
Hope you all have a wonderful day filled with LOVE!

I am about to head out to celebrate Valentine parties at school with the kids.
The hubs and I decided we are going to treat the kids to a special Valentine dinner tonight.
{Boy, times have changed from those romantic Valentine dates, right?}
That's okay though, I wouldn't have it any other way!
The perfect Valentine's day to me is spending it with those I love most!

Enjoy this beautiful day, friends!
XOXO

A Few Good Deals

Happy Friday!
Just popping in super quick to share a few good deals with you.
I ran in to Target a week or so ago.
You know,
just to get a few things we "needed"
:)

I took a stroll through the home section,
you know, to pick up those necessities.

Much to my surprise,
I stumbled across a clearance aisle.
I am telling you, it was orange sticker madness!
There were several things that I wanted to bring home with me,
however, this lantern is the only thing that I actually purchased!
I am not real sure where she will go yet,
but you can bet I will share once I decide!

Next, I ran over to Ross.
I still had a gift card from Christmas that was simply burning a hole in my pocket.
Don't you hate it when that happens?
Anyway,
I found this lovely set of Laura Ashley curtains.
They are a beautiful cream and charcoal gray color.
$16.99 for the PAIR.
Sold!
For now, I am planning on putting these in the kitchen,
I think the print is just lovely,
Who knows, I may even make pillows with it.

Hope you guys have a wonderful Friday night!

A Fab.U.Less. Day Thrifting

It has been a while since I shared some thrifty finds with you guys.
If you have been here long, you know I LOVE finding a good deal.
So, I am here today to share some thrifty love with all of you!

I scored this beautiful chair from a resale shop.
I fell in love with it immediately.
Neutral colors, vintage, velvet, nail head trim and made of real wood.
Yes, please.

It wasn't marked with a price.
When I asked the gentleman working, I was told it was $35.
Hmmmm,
I thought long and hard about that price.
I knew if the hubs would have been there he would have told me to haggle.
So, haggle I did!

I whipped out a $20 bill that I had in my wallet.
Looked at the gentleman and said,
well I am going to have to have it cleaned.
So, $20 is the best I can do.
He paused for a moment, smiled and said SOLD!
Wooooohooooo!
I was SO excited, and the hubs was proud of me for haggling.
I have to say, I was proud of myself!
Don't be afraid to haggle!
If I can do it, you can do it!

I have big plans for this lovely chair.
Stay tuned for that post!

I found this vintage white oval plate.
Vintage.white.dish.
Need I say more.
At 50 cents, this lovely lady came home with me.

Then I found this beautiful tacky piece of art.
She will be made over soon into, surprise, a chalkboard!
I couldn't pass it up for $1.

I loved the color of this vintage cookie sheet.
I, however, won't be using it as a cookie sheet.
Big plans for it also.
I paid 50 cents for it.

Our fruit bowl that holds apples/oranges/bananas has been overflowing lately,
so I picked up with silver fruit basket for $1 to hold just our bananas.

Ohhhhhhhh friends,
I am in LOVE with this 1978 vintage map.
It is in pristine condition.
And was only 50 cents!

Not sure exactly where it will go yet,
but besides the chair, it was my best purchase on this thrifting outing!

Last, but not least,
I stumbled upon these four white candleholders.
They were $1 for all four.
I knew they would look perfect on our mantle.

So, there you have it, my latest thrifty finds.
Totaling $24.50 for everything.
Woooohoooo!

How about you?
Have you stumbled across any great deals lately?
If so, I would love to hear about them!

Have a wonderful day my dears!

Sharing here.

Valentine Decor and The Ironstone Nest

Well, hello there!
Happy Friday to you!

The kids and I decided to decorate for Valentines Day last night.
And by decorate, I mean put out about three things.
I am not really big on decorating for Valentines Day.
Never have been.
Gasp!
But, the kids do like to set out a few things.
And we always do at least a few Valentine crafts.
You may remember a few weeks ago,
we made this little Valentines Day tree.

I also found this banner in the Target dollar bin last week.
I picked up some extra heart stickers and let the kids go to town with it.
I think they did a fabulous job!
They even strung the hearts on by themselves,
and actually didn't argue doing it.
Amazing!

They wanted to hang it on our kitchen hutch.
So, on the hutch it went!
I think it ads a nice little Valentine festive touch!

Mama gave me this heart made out of stone years ago for Mothers Day.
I absolutely love it and it stays out year round!
That lovely candle burning is a Valentine scent.
Fresh cut roses.
My Nana's favorite.
I haven't made that scent in forever and decided to a few weeks ago.
Every time I burn it I think of her.
Coincidentally, it is also my little ladies favorite!

I always pick up a few bags of conversation hearts.
Perfect to fill little glass jars with around the house.
Just a little something to say love is in the air, right?!

Last, but certainly not least.
Please welcome my new sponsor,
Laura from The Ironstone Nest.
She has a beautiful blog that you must check out.
Her blog is packed full of lovely home décor and inspiration.
She also has en etsy shop full of French country goodness.
You will want one of everything, trust me!
I mean, even her button is lovely.
Robin eggs, ironstone and feathers.
What's not to love!
I am so happy you are here, Laura!
Welcome!
:)

Have a wonderful Friday, my friends!
